Additional Key Responsibilities:
Leads and motivates a team of accounting and financial professionals onsite at Meraki.
Responsible for global accounting systems, processes, controls and reporting for Meraki, including the operational integrity of Great Plains ERP, procurement/payables, receivables, inventory, supply chain, tax, intercompany, revenue recognition, sales enablement and compliance.
Manages and oversees entire close process end-to-end.
Interfaces extensively with the operating teams on financial and accounting issues including sales operations, sales, supply chain, operations finance, tax and engineering.
Interfaces extensively with Cisco systems, processes and controls to ensure effective consolidation and reporting of financials at various states of integration.
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Responsible for the US GAAP/IFRS book & fiscal compliance matters (statutory accounts, direct & indirect tax) for Meraki’s legal entities.
Continuously improve processes and systems by developing compelling, insightful recommendations based on quality data analysis and lead execution against recommendations quickly and with flawless accuracy.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
10-15 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Audit or related areas
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communications skills, written and oral.
Leadership presence and ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization.
Prior experience managing and motivating a team and in-business experience (end-to-end).
Nice to Have Qualifications and Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Great Plains or Oracle ERP systems
Big 4 Audit Experience
