Responsibilities
SYFY is looking for a talented, genre-loving, and driven Social Media Coordinator to join our
team. The Social Media Coordinator will help support the social media team in all of its social
marketing endeavors. Reporting into the Social Media Manager, you’ll help oversee the
creation and execution of social media campaigns to build and engage our fan bases, as well as
deliver against marketing goals for the overall business.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
● Social Media Copywriting & Content Publishing
○ Manage social media agency with oversight on social content strategy,
calendar planning, social tone of voice and creation of show specific
content calendars for each social platform
○ Review on paid media rollout to maximize impact and reach of show
specific content
○ Traffic weekly show content per show to ensure delivery posting dates
are met
○ Collaborate with in-house and agency creative counterparts on needs and
best practices for content
● Consumer Engagement & Audience Development
○ Manage surprise and delight projects aimed at increasing brand
favorability and loyalty
○ Monitor social conversation across pages and contribute to reporting
needs
○ Support on-the-ground at events or special episode initiatives for high
profile campaign launches
● Social Media Stewardship
○ Understand the social media universe and stay current with social media
trends, language, outlets, and resources to achieve the best performance
on social platforms
○ Partner with social media platforms directly to pilot new features and
share new trends and technologies
● Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders
○ Partner with key cross-functional teams to gather key priorities that need
to be socialized
○ Partner with internal teams to streamline social requests (Sales, Press,
International, etc)
○ Act as a contact point between social media agencies and internal
stakeholders supporting network or show specific social initiatives
● Administrative Support
○ General administrative responsibilities in support of projects, Social
Media Manager and Sr. Social Media Director
○ Assist with creation of marketing presentations
○ Responsible for management of budget and invoice submission
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications & Competencies:
● Knowledge and passion for social media platforms and emerging trends
● Have strong multi-tasking skills, and a respect for deadlines
● Attention to detail and project management
● Excellent writing and communication skills
● Proven experience with MS Office: Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, G-Suite, iOS,
Photoshop (preferred)
● Passion television, entertainment, and science fiction
● 2+ years experience in entertainment, social media, and/or marketing
