Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.

The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Wells Fargo Commercial Credit has an immediate opening for a Strategy Optimization Analyst within the Credit Risk Modeling Center of Excellence (CRMCOE), responsible for overseeing all aspects of Automated Decisioning Strategies for Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG), Commercial Distribution Finance (CDF) and Equipment Finance (EF) line of business (LOB). CVG, CDF and EF specialize in wholesale and floorplan financing of commercial equipment including but not limited to Transportation (trucks and trailers), Agricultural, Medical, Office and Image, Industrial, Marine, Motor sports. This role will report directly to the CVG Team Lead within the Model Implementation & Automated Decisioning Team in the CRMCOE, but will support all line of business.

The primary objectives of this role are to perform automated decisioning strategies optimization analysis for CVG, CDF and EF LOB with the objective of increasing automated decisioning, reducing losses, identifying best scorecard to be utilized in a given segment, increasing revenues, and reducing costs. The optimization exercise should be designed in such a way that it can be implemented in the COE's specialized software. Responsibilities encompass the identification of optimized opportunities leveraging advanced quantitative analytics and empirically derived solutions, assessing the impact/benefit, and vetting with risk and model governance stakeholders.

This role also provides essential training and ongoing end user business support regarding metrics, model use, business rules, and other automated decisioning issues.

The successful candidate will leverage strong communication, problem solving skills to fully understand business problems and effectively collaborate to identify and support the implementation of the technical solutions to those problems, but most importantly is to be pro-active in identifying optimization opportunities in the existing strategies and being able to sell the idea to main stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of risk reporting experience, risk analytics experience, or a combination of both; or a Master s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, economics, or engineering and 3+ years of risk reporting experience

Other Desired Qualifications

- 2+ year of experience with R or Python
- 2+ year of experience with SAS or SQL
- Comprehensive knowledge of probability of default (PD) models


Job Expectations
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
