This role is necessary to contribute to strategy and assist cross functional teams to develop and support technical controls to protect Banfield and Mars Veterinary Health Group (VHG) information assets. Additionally, this role is a technical subject matter expert that can determine the proper course of action in the event of a security incident. This is a global role that requires context of how Banfield, Mars VHG and all legal entities operate so that technology choices support Business objectives.
Contribute to global strategic roadmaps for focus areas within security technology
Contribute to security standards, ensure global acceptance and adherence
Contribute to architecture and designs for global security technology
Respond to incidents escalated from global Security Operations Center
Support implementation of major security technologies for Mars, Incorporated
Function in support role for incidents related to deployed security technologies
Trusted expert on how to best use security to deploy business enabling solutions
Core member of incident response team to identify and clear security incidents
Understand security technologies and processes and how to apply theoretical concepts to address business risk
Perform hunting exercises using threat intelligence, analysis of anomalous log data and results of historical events and data to detect and response to threats
Research industry trends, identify ongoing security threats, analyze new security testing tools, and provide recommendations on the need and usefulness of services and/or products
Effectively communicate security concepts with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Participate in tabletop exercises and Red/Blue/Purple team activities
Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response
Context and Scope:
Broad knowledge of vendor landscape and capabilities
Technical expertise in network and security technologies and knowledge of platforms used at Banfield and Mars VHG.
