Data Storytelling Producer

Are you someone that loves to leverage data and analytics to inform a story? Do you geek out over the number of constituents in a polling area? Then this is the job for you! The NBC News Decision Desk is seeking a creative and curious Data Storytelling Producer to help curate the most visually compelling and data-heavy election stories. Partner with our Decision Desk and Editorial teams to help bridge the gap between data and journalism.
Support our editorial needs around the data-driven journalism on all platforms
Work with the Decision Desk team to manage editorial needs for content clients, including Cable, Digital and Broadcast across all NBCU news platforms.
Work with Politics team, Specials, on-air talent and digital to tell relevant stories during Election Season.
Drive big ideas for usage of our Election applications and graphics on television and digital.
On primary, caucus and election nights – serve as primary liaison for our on-camera data analysts, control rooms and our multiple platforms regarding results and storytelling in real time.
5+ years of experience as a journalist – either in the field or in a cable or broadcast newsroom
Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Journalism or a related field of study
Prior experience in editorial politics
Prior experience working a cable or network control room
