Position Summary:The School of Medicine and Public Health Financial Shared Services unit provides complex financial services to multiple academic department chairs, faculty, and staff. Under the supervision of the Shared Services Financial Program Manager, Financial Specialist Senior assists the departments and centers by completing financial transactions, assisting with post-award reporting, and supporting the Financial Program Manager in other areas as needed while maintaining the highest standard of customer service and compliance with UW System policies and procedures.

This entry level position provides various financial services and acts as a liaison between the Dean's Office of Fiscal Affairs and SMPH departments. Financial Specialist Senior will prepare, monitor, and audit expenditures in an accurate and timely manner.

-Associate's degree or higher in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office computer software, particularly Excel and Word.
-Ability to create spreadsheets and reports as well as access, enter and edit program data and to use other software packages to record, analyze and summarize data.
-Ability to interpret and apply complex rules and requirements.
-Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
-Effective written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
