About the job
As the Director of Partner Engineering for Wear, you'll be responsible for the strategy and global team that delivers the Wear OS platform on partners’ devices. From helping new partners join the ecosystem and creating a device project plan to launching and updating wearable devices, the Wear Partner Engineering team is deeply involved in the full product lifecycle of a wearable device. You will be part of the Wear Leadership team, working closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Leads to align on shared goals for the platform. Your technical and industry insights will influence the platform and product direction.
Whether working with next-gen chipset manufacturers or emerging market telcos, Google's Android Partner Engineering team helps solve some of the toughest mobile technology problems. We work with teams throughout Google to develop solutions for strategic partners around the globe. We maintain crucial relationships with and build technical solutions for our long-term partners who are making Android into a world-changing platform. But we're just getting started.
