400,000 patients are affecting by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in the US alone. MS is an unpredictable disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. It is a progressive, neurodegenerative, immune-mediated neurological disease that can lead to irreversible physical disability and functional impairment.

Novartis is a leader in the MS space with a portfolio of innovative treatments in our Neuroscience Franchise and continues to have a promising pipeline. In an ever more competitive, crowded market, combined with a changing payer and reimbursement landscape, affecting the high-spend MS category, establishing and maintaining access to these treatments for appropriate MS patients is critical.

The Director Market Access Marketing, supports the Novartis MS Franchise, and is an integral part of the Novartis Access Strategy and Commercialization Team.

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business and/or biological science education with concentration in marketing are preferred ; MBA is preferred

• A minimum of 8 years of Pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare and /or consulting experience is required
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience across any of the following is required: Payer access strategy, marketing, payer contracting and or commercial/sales experiences.
• Strong focus in US payer market access, access marketing and or reimbursement, highly preferred
• Ability to connect commercial, financial, and clinical perspectives to develop enhanced value mes-sages and strategies
• Proven strategic thinking and project management abilities for solution development
• Ability to analyze and interpret customer/segment trends, agency management experience and travel as required
