As Director of Business Architecture, you will be an expert practitioner in the field and serve as a key member of the Strategy and Business Acceleration group within Cisco Operations. Business Architecture is a meaningful discipline at Cisco, sitting at the core of connecting our Corporate Strategy and Customer Experience to Business and Operating Model transformation.
You will operate at the vanguard of our value chain with the vision to move from strategy to execution.
At Cisco, Business Architects work cross functionally. You'll analyze how enterprise business capabilities need to interact and evolve to achieve our end-to-end Customer, Partner and Employee experience.
While centered in San Jose, you will collaborate across functions and geographies.
Who You'll Work With
You'll be accountable for Business Architecture Practice, leading curation and maintenance of E2E Business Architecture across Operations and with external Cisco business units.
Work in lock-step with IT, Data and Enterprise Architecture leaders to ensure 100% traceability and connectivity from Strategy and Value through Business, IT Data Architecture layers.
You will facilitate resolution of strategic Key Business Decisions and build deep and trusted relationships with partners internal and external of Operations, often executives.
Govern value-based prioritization of program roadmaps.
Understand the incremental contributions of different capabilities towards the corporate strategy, target experience and benefits realization.
You'll participate as a decision maker in Investment Portfolio planning.
Actively advising Exec Sponsors of strategic and operational opportunities based on Architectural insights and Business Model transformation value drivers.
Oversee a Business Architecture hub to define and drive Business Architecture principles, frameworks and methodologies for use across a federated Architecture community.
Who You Are
Someone who thrives in taking the most strategic business and complex problems from the point of inception through the different phases of discovery, solutioning and recommendation.
Skilled in process & dependencies analysis (policy, data and system), design of Enterprise wide options and execution recommendations.
Establishment of strong Executive level relationships and act as a beacon of leadership to connect the cross-functional Business architecture (Sales & Marketing, CX, Operations, IT, Finance, Tax, Legal and Engineering) community
Collaborative with impeccable communication and presentation skills at the Executive level, an active listener, and possesses the ability to synthesize high level information and concepts.
Able to collect, interpret and cluster relevant information from stakeholders in order to create and orchestrate relevant and innovative business architectures.
Capable of applying structured problem-solving methods (taking a large, complex problem and breaking it down into components, involve others as needed) to drive resolution.
Experience with As a Service business models such as Software
15+ years business architecture/ business design/consulting experience
10+ years experience with As A Service business models
5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience
You'll interact with Sales, Marketing, CX, IT, Engineering and Operations, therefore experience within one or more of these areas is a plus.
