Description

Gold Country Health Care, a not-for-profit community in Placerville, is recruiting for an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to organize and oversee all nursing operations of our 68 bed skilled rehab unit.
As DON, you will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.
As DON personnel under your supervision will be able to do their best in caring for our residents.
The DON role requires a hard-working and compassionate registered nurse (RN) who steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills.
Being efficient, dedicated, a good listener and a problem-solver is what will open our door for you.

Responsibilities: Manage unit census to goal Recruit and develop both C.N.A.
and License Nurse personnel Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.) Guide staffing procedures Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards Control budgets and monitor expenditures Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed Manage record-keeping procedures Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations Show history of regulatory compliance Skills: Strong leadership skills preferably as a DON or experienced ADON in skilled rehab setting In-depth knowledge of SNF policies and procedures Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration: PDPM experience a plus Excellent ability to lead and develop the nursing team Great communication and people skills Dedication to resident and family satisfaction Outstanding organizational and stress management skills Aptitude in problem-solving Valid RN License and CPR certification (or the ability to obtain a CA RN License ***BSN Degree in Nursing a plus*** Salary decided on experience EMAIL RESUME TO: Sandra Haskins, Executive Director at Community is part of Retirement Housing Foundation see us on Facebook: goldcountryretirementandhealth YourMembership.
