industry, strategically partners with health plans, medical groups and health
systems across the country to develop and optimize surgical facilities. SCA

As a part of our continued growth,
we are searching for a new Director of Nursing
to join our team.

The Director of
Nursing is responsible for all aspects of clinical care delivery in the
Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The DON
implements and oversees the Quality Improvement and Risk Management Programs
for the center and assumes responsibility for the center in the CEO’s absence.
The DON also assesses, plans, implements and coordinates patient care from
admission to discharge. The DON is
responsible for the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of
critical pathways and maintenance of a culture of patient safety in accordance
with the mission, vision and values of the facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Promotes
efficiency and a culture of patient safety through the clinical areas of the facility

- Assess,
plan, evaluate and ensure the implementation of patient care to achieve
identified outcomes and delivers safe patient care according to facility policy
and procedure

- Develops/updates
center Policies & Procedures as needed based on accreditation requirements,
patient safety or work flow changes

- Strategically
implements new strategic service lines safely and efficiently

- Ensures
Joint Commission/CMS/AORN/AAMI standards are followed and that the facility is
survey ready every day

- Responsible
for Quality Council/Performance Improvement Committee to facilitate improvement
of care and achievement of facility mission. This includes quality improvement
projects, risk management, infection control, medication management, variance
management, and fire and EOC safety

- Interviews,
selects and retains qualified teammates to meet the facility needs

- Performs
annual performance reviews and provides mentoring/coaching to teammates as

- Completes
appropriate financial management responsibilities including payroll, scheduling
and supply management

- Upholds
and practices the principles and policies of the SCA Compliance program

- Interacts
with all patients, families, visitors and fellow teammates and physicians in a
mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional facility

Required Qualifications:

- Current and unrestricted RN license
in California

- 1+
years of experience working in an ASC or Hospital Operating Room Department

- 2+ years of leadership and
management experience

- 2+
years of experience preparing for and managing an Accreditation Survey

- Current
BLS/ACLS certification

- Ability to obtain PALS certification
within 90 days

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficient in MS Office Outlook,
Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

- BSN degree

- Operating
Room circulating experience

- Experience using PowerPoint

- Bilingual in Spanish
