American Express Company seeks Directors, Commercial Marketing Platforms to develop and implement global, end-to-end roadmap to ensure effective operation of digital customer marketing platforms.  Work with business partners to ensure success of commercial marketing transformation, drive platform roadmaps, and generate institutional support.  Analyze massive datasets to economically evaluate investment on new loyalty benefits for card members.  Test and design targeting strategy to identify potential segments for various marketing campaigns.  Develop next generation personalization capabilities using digital assets and big data techniques for online and offline channels.  Ensure that upstream and downstream platforms are fully integrated and data is transmitted with high quality and governance.  Collaborate with compliance and privacy teams to incorporate compliance and policy regulations in the system.
QualificationsPosition requires a Master’s degree in Data Science, Operations Research, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field, and 2 years of program and project management on reengineering, strategy, and large-scale business transformation initiatives.  Experience must include a minimum of: 2 years of experience with data-driven analysis in support of business transformations, including product and portfolio development initiatives; 1 year of experience with designing data analytics strategies in support of marketing operations; 1 year of experience translating overall business vision and objectives into tactical strategies and plans; 1 year of experience with process improvement, strategy development, and execution in the financial services industry; 1 year of consumer credit card business experience;  1 year of experience with product marketing or marketing operations; 1 year of experience with credit risk and portfolio management; 1 year of experience with cross-functional team and people leadership on large, complex initiatives; 1 year of experience with mathematical modeling tools and techniques, including Stochastic models, Monte Carlo simulation, and Deterministic Network models; and 1 year of experience with Big Data, Hive, MATLAB, MS Excel, R, SAS, and SQL.
