Job Overview As a member of the Engineering IT team, you will be responsible for leading development efforts to improve the integration of Electronic Design Automation tools within a Grid computing environment. You are energized by change, passionate about software development, enjoy adopting new technologies, and keen to solve problems within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities (Role): Development of Grid aware code to insure EDA tools are passing the correct or best options for the environment. Development of solutions for improving parallel and distributed job processing in our grid. Development of server-side code in C, C++, PHP, Perl, and client GUI components in Java, and XML/SOAP protocols. Development of test cases and associated documentation for validating software/hardware and operating system releases and development patches. Collaborate with engineering on the design and development of future software initiatives. Provide periodic training to Engineers and Administrators on our grid solutions.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 4+ years IT-relevant work experience OR 7+ years IT-relevant work experience without a bachelors degree.
Preferred Qualifications Developed complex system software on a variety of hardware platforms running under UNIX. Experience with Container technologies and methodologies Experience with GP-GPU platforms and architecture Developed object-oriented designs and system-level code. 5 years experience developing commercial quality software. C, C++, Java, TCL, Python and/or Perl development & debugging in Unix environment Expert user of UNIX and UNIX utilities. Experience with Platform LSF, Suns Grid Engine, or similar DRM technologies Lead of a project or a small team. Good communicator with superb verbal, written, and presentation skills. Must have good inter-personal skills, and be able to mentor & motivate team members. Additional Skills: Hands-on experience doing ASIC design work. ASIC design work in a shared compute resource environment. Good knowledge of ASIC design flow from synthesis to GDSII. Microsoft Windows development using C, C++, or C#. Proficient with version control systems
