We are representing a firm that is searching for an Electrical Department Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

The ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT MANAGER must possess a minimum of 10+ years of A/E, engineering or design-build experience in power distribution, lighting and fire alarm systems either in government, healthcare, commercial, retail, residential, mixed-use, industrial, and institutional projects. This individual will have the opportunity to serve as Project Manager, Client Manager, and Senior Project Engineer. Projects are nationwide and involve electrical design and work sharing challenges for core clients in the vertical construction market.

Job Responsibilities:

- Lead multi-discipline engineering teams on selected projects, serving as the client’s main point of contact for the engineering team
- Provide oversight of electrical engineering projects
- Maintain and foster relationships with selected established clients
- Run system analysis including load calculations, voltage drop, fault current and protective device coordination using SKM Power Tools Job Requirements:

- BS in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience in the design of buildings and related projects
- PE (strongly preferred)
- Design and leadership experience with a focus on: client satisfaction, quality, and leading a project design team
- Experience in all phases of the design process from project planning and concepts through working drawings and construction administration
- Lead PM efforts for coordinating deliverables and client meetings.
- NCEES License, preferred
- LEED AP accreditation, preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, EnergyPro, SKM tools
