Healthcare Specialty Relationship Manager 2019

The Citi Commercial Bank - Healthcare Specialty Group (HSF) is adding to its winning team and looking for a dynamic and motivated specialty relationship manager to grow a new and exciting business serving a multi-location healthcare provider industry in medical, dental and veterinary sector.
HSF is creating a highly specialized & dedicated industry vertical that will serve a niche sub-sector of the healthcare industry. Catering to multi-specialty; multi-location providers of healthcare, Group Practices, Dental Support Organizations (DSO) and Medical Support Organizations (MSO) and Veterinary Support Organizations (VSO) as well as other specialty providers. This industry vertical will handle the entire client experience from origination, to credit analysis, onboarding & implementation as well as relationship management and ongoing client care, portfolio management for high growth, capital-intensive clients in an underserved segment; client revenues from $10 to $250 Million and credit needs roughly $3 Million up to multi-bank syndicated transactions

Successful Healthcare Specialty Relationship Managers should demonstrate the following skills and behaviors:

- Highly skilled & analytical in complex banking services with experience calling larger revenue sized clients with complex ownership physician & non-physician structures

- Superior credit skills with full underwriting background, formal corporate / commercial credit training, credit designation preferred

- Corporate structuring and finance background & leveraged lending preferred

- History with building a portfolio, early warning and workout experience with cash flow oriented or Enterprise Valuation clients

- Ability to fully incubate early stage healthcare companies and graduate clients thru thought leadership and coaching, thru rapid growth into large fully developed corporate companies ready for PE investment or Capital Markets opportunities with Citi Investment Bank

- Deep connections with industry experts within the multi-site healthcare provider ecosystem

- Exposure to DSO / MSO or VSO structures and specialty laws

- Thorough understanding of the ever changing regulatory environment, state by state corporate practice of medicine / dentistry laws as well as the Federal regulatory environment surrounding government and private payers

- Experience with payer concentrations and reimbursement risk mitigation strategies

- Business development skills leveraging education opportunities, public speaking and COI development, trade shows and event related development

- History working with Private Equity Groups or investment banking background

- Must have a sharp business development focus and demonstrative innovative approaches dealing with rapid growth companies

- Must be able to express a sound opinion, able to agreeably present another viewpoint

- Highly focused, able to rapidly determine key priorities, clearly communicate the priorities and ensure resources are properly aligned


- Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels

- Strong knowledge of credit products and experience working with companies with annual revenues up to $250 Million - Larger company experience a plus

- Strong financial and analytic skills and ability to rapidly assimilate complex information

- High level of energy, enthusiasm and motivation with strong entrepreneurial desire

- Self-starter, someone who demonstrates by getting out in the marketplace

- Team player, builds strong partnerships

- Highly effective influencing skills

- Undergraduate degree required, advanced degree is preferred
