Job TitleEmployer Relations CoordinatorPosition Number997038DepartmentCareer DevelopmentSalary$39,878 - $46,890Job Summary/DescriptionAngelo State University is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated person to help the university achieve its Career Development goals by providing leadership for employer engagement initiatives. This person will drive the implementation of a strategic plan to establish partnerships with employers which will create employment and internship opportunities for students and alumni. In collaboration with campus stakeholders, this person will direct and expand on-campus recruiting programs, including, networking events, employer visits, and career fairs.

The goals of this position are to strategically cultivate and strengthen relations among employers, students, alumni, and faculty in order to increase:
1.recruitment and hiring activities,
2.internship opportunities for students, and
3.employer driven job postings for Angelo State university, students, graduates, and alumni.

This person will work under the supervision of the Career Development Director but in an independent environment. The position requires extensive travel within Texas. Duty location is negotiable.

Typical Duties/Job Duties1.Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with employers to improve and support recruitment and hiring of students and alumni.
2.Assists employers in building their brands on campus to improve the employers’ abilities to meet their workforce needs.
3.Establishes collaborative partnerships among employers, academic departments, and university offices to meet the university’s goals in student and alumni career development.
4.Performs assessment employer needs and university career development programs.
5.Prepares reports of effectiveness of employer outreach and career development programs.
6.Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities•Strong organizational and planning skills, including independently prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
•Strong verbal and written communications skills with diverse groups.
•Ability to work independently to meet goals and objectives.
•Demonstrated skills in customer service and creating connections among clients and customers.
•Ability to travel extensively within West and Central Texas.
•Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications•Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a STEM field.
•Three or more years of professional experience in career services, higher education, outside sales, human resources, or a similar field.
•A valid driver’s license and satisfactory safety record.

Preferred Qualifications•Master’s degree, preferably in a STEM field.
•Experience in marketing, negotiation, and strategic planning.
•Experience with on-campus recruiting software programs.
