Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical IT / cyber security capabilities necessary for safeguarding the firm's information systems and applications (software development lifecycle), including every phase of the SDLC and software stack. This includes threat modeling of application designs, static application security testing (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), dynamic application security testing (DAST), and penetration testing. Additional responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of all documentation (e.g. standards, policies, procedures) necessary for compliance and application of application security controls and tool selection. It also includes evaluating / stress testing existing IT security measures and continually identifying and mitigating new threats and vulnerabilities. Senior professional role within Cybersecurity Engineering that applies in-depth knowledge within own professional discipline and a foundational understanding of concepts and principles of other related professional disciplines. Applies knowledge of best practices derived from engineering experience to solve a range of complex technical and cybersecurity problems. Takes a new perspective on existing solutions to solve complex problems. Exercises judgment based on the analysis (e.g. modeling, testing, etc.) of multiple sources of information. Leads small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; plays significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives. Impacts a range of client, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. Explains and interprets complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience. Works independently and receives minimal guidance.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in systems engineering or administration or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function. Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Banking or financial services experience.
