What You’ll Do
We seek a DevSecOps engineer, that can help deliver and operate the global platform/application suite, that is distributed, highly available and dynamically scalable. You will:
Contribute to the application platform development, security, quality, operations (DSQO)
Work cohesively to engineer industry leading solutions for our next generation platform powering the Cisco Networking Academy
Contribute to the planning phases and prioritize work in an agile delivery structure
Who You’ll Work With
Our IT team provides technology services to power the platform for Cisco Networking Academy, the flagship of Cisco’s Corporate Social Responsibility programs. We develop and operate a global platform and applications catering to the global customers comprising of various educational institutions and their instructors and students.

A constant learner, who is able to experiment with newer technologies strengthening the core of our platform
A collaborator, who works with team members from a multi-functional set of groups and roles – product management, development, quality and security SMEs
Have strong skills in solving problems, infrastructure issues, provisioning new infrastructure and configuration/life-cycle management
Minimum requirements for this role:
10-12 years industry experience with Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Management
At least 4-5 years of DevSecOps practice experience
Technical expertise and experience in creation of global XaaS solutions, the infrastructure platform on a hybrid cloud, enabling integration via APIs
Experience in infusing security and quality in the lifecycle of the product development
Deep understanding of various technologies and tools - infrastructure/platform/cloud/databases/automation/tools
Experience and exposure to manage compute, storage, network and build platforms in the cloud and on-premise.
Ability to implement scalable architectures across availability zones and sites to deliver global, highly available, distributed systems
Experience in Scaled Agile Framework, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery framework is required along with exposure to toolset
Exposure and experience in open source technologies, messaging, configuration, monitoring, analytics, middleware, databases
Experience in architecting and delivering highly available and highly scalable global application platforms
Experience with the latest web front-end and back-end technologies a must-have (Java, Drupal, PHP, NoSQL DBs, Mongo, Oracle)
Fluent in using infrastructure as code tools like Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Broad understanding of DevOps tools and technologies
Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon Web Services, Open Stack
Security practices and tools
Automation, Infrastructure as a Code
