About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

- Performs operator?s maintenance on all equipment to ensure equipment remains in service.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Engineering Equipment Operator~ without more than normal supervision. Experience performing common engineering equipment work; operating engineering equipment such as bulldozer, motor graders, and driving trucks with trailers and tractor - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.


- Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision
- Physical Effort: Work requires reaching, bending, turning and moving hands, arms, feet and legs. There is continuous jerking and jolting while operating equipment.
- Working Conditions: Incumbent is exposed to noise, dust, and fumes from the motor and exhaust, and is exposed to outside weather extremes and danger of overturning equipment. There is possibility of cuts, bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents.Work assignments involve a thorough knowledge of hazardous material handling and related activities. Incumbent is required to successfully complete a variety of hazardous material classes. There is a possibility of exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes from spills and/or leaks and incumbent may be required to wear protective clothing (e.g., rubber boots, coveralls, goggles, aprons, gloves, respirator, etc.) Education
