Job Summary: Prepare basic deliverables and products including checklists, field reports, specifications, commissioning plans and writing sequences of operations.
Coordinate and attend construction kick-off meetings.
Preform design reviews for mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and review MEP submittals.
Coordinate equipment startups and functional testing with contractors.
Review operation & maintenance manuals and develop systems manual for all tested equipment.
Track and over-see training of O&M staff.
Evaluate fundamental engineering guidelines, code compliance requirements and industry standards Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects Assist in developing proposals and responses to RFP's on commissioning projects Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with owners, architects, vendors, other design professionals and contractors Perform other duties as assigned Write sequence of operations for current designs and support design projects with MEP punchlists and surveys.
Performance test mechanical equipment and verify balancing procedures and reports.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited engineering program Working knowledge of MEP building systems and commissioning requirements of LEED and LEED AP certification Good understanding of the architectural, engineering and construction industry Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and work effectively as part of a project team Ability to meet and exceed client expectations Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook) Ability to travel occasionally OSHA 30 required within 90 days of employment Preferred Experience/Certifications: 1-2 years of related experience with a consulting engineering firm, commissioning firm or contractor Experience with sustainable design practices or facilities operations Experience with Deltek Vision or Project Resource Management software CCP, ACP, CBCP, BCxP or equivalent certifications ICC certification Energy auditing experience a plus
