ummary/Objective
The Environmental Supervisor Supervises and coordinates activities of the Environmental Department personnel in the safe operation, minor repair, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of environmental control equipment as well as related environmental mitigation and control activities within the plant.
Essential Functions
- Supporting the EH&S Manager in overall mill environmental compliance reporting.
- Supervise mill wide environmental training to ensure that required environmental testing, procedures, work practices, training and controls are in effect at the mill
- Assist the EH&S Manager in ensuring that all facility emissions data reported to regulatory agencies is truthful and accurate.

- Work with the EH&S Manager to ensure the leadership and development of the environmental staff.
- Share call-in duties and respond to after-hour spills and other environmental emergencies, in order to fulfill same-day reporting obligations. .
- Coordinate with the EH&S Manager, and if the EH&S Manager is absent communicate on behalf of company with regulators and policymakers.
- Coordinate with the EH&S Manager interact directly with the public and indirectly with the media
- Support the EH&S Manager’s efforts to acquiring new permits (PSD, NSR, NOC, NSPS, AOP, NPDES) and with legal issues by providing environmental data
- Follow environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with U.S. laws.
- Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics.
Required Education and Experience:
Equiv. Ed. Level Required:BS or MS in engineering or sciences.

Experience Required:7 years’ combined experience in environmental compliance and reporting; knowledgeable of federal and state environmental air, water and waste regulations. Experience in an industrial process facility.
