What you’ll be doing...
Our program provides the US Government with special capabilities in our commercial networks to support emergency communications needs during natural or man-made disasters. As a Principal PTS EPC Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, integration, test, troubleshooting and acceptance of priority services in the IMS Network elements for wireless priority voice, data, and video services. You’ll play a key role in making sure our customers continue to enjoy the crystal-clear connections and top-notch call performance during times the network is overloaded because of an emergency event.

You’ll provide pre-sales engineering support for development of technical proposals, working with cross-functional teams to gather customer requirements, develop architecture solutions and compliancy matrices that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs in accordance with customer requirements and industry standards. You will manage the documentation deliverables to align with customer's system engineering life cycle process.

Serving as the subject matter expert for Priority Services in the Internet Multimedia Service (IMS), you will work closely with engineers and planners to recommend service improvements and give guidance to network planning, network evolution and growth plans for priority wireless services. You will also provide leadership, guidance, and technical direction to engineering projects to define goals and identify scope of work needed to develop standards-based solution architectures for specific customer requirements for priority voice, data, and video services.

You will create and implement test plans, maintain and recommend changes to test cases, test procedures and instructions, and produce evaluation processes. As needed, you’ll examine and troubleshoot flows using various packet analyzer tools, as well as independently analyze performance trends of various high level and engineering level Key Performance Indicators for Priority Services.

You will have to develop and maintain excellent proactive, working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company, especially internal teams. You will be responsible for satisfying customer technical, product quality and timely delivery expectations. Serving as the subject matter expert for Priority Services in the Evolved Packet Core (EPC), you will work closely with engineers and planners to recommend service improvements and give guidance to network planning, network evolution and growth plans for priority wireless services. You will also provide leadership, guidance, and technical direction to engineering projects to define goals and identify scope of work needed to develop standards-based solution architectures for specific customer requirements for priority voice, data, and video services.

You will validate and create EPC architecture and engineering requirements, network impact assessment, engineering design standards, and alarms and network statistics definition. You’ll work closely with the production network teams in the development, testing, and implementation of advance data core features such as LTE Mobility Management, Mobility Anchor Handoff, EPC Signaling and Control, Topography Design Support, Roaming Architecture/Design, and IPv4 and IPv6 Core Development as they relate to priority services. You’ll assist in defining engineering and planning rules for priority services in the MME (Mobility Management Entity), SGW (Serving Gateway), and the PGW (PDN Gateway).
