About the Role
The Lidar Firmware Engineer will work to develop automotive grade state art LiDAR systems for autonomous vehicles. They will focus on firmware design and implementation for safe and reliable Lidar systems.
What You’ll Do
Be involved in the design and build process of automotive lidar from the prototype to product level.
Develop firmware on STM32 and ARM platforms for sensor devices.
Work closely with various teams (System, Safety, Electrical, Mechanical, Calibration, Verification, etc.) to assess and implement design requirements.
What You’ll Need
Minimum 3 years industry experience
BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Strong coding skills in C, C++ and Python
Knowledge of OpenEmbedded and FreeRTOS
Experience with STM32 and/or ARM Microcontrollers
Background with SPI, UART, I2C
Network stack experience
Excellent communication skills especially with diverse groups of team members including technicians, software and hardware engineers
Strong general Linux experience
Bonus Points If
Knowledge and background in implementation of ASIL Safety standards.
FPGA design, Verilog.
Background working with a high speed serial bus technology, such as SGMII or PCIe.
Background with motor controllers.
Interest or background in lidar and robotics.
