CONTEXT:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (or Business Performance Management (BPM)) job family is accountable for driving Diageo’s end-to-end business performance management cycle.  These roles set the rhythm and expected inputs and outputs of performance management, in line with standard global BPM processes, and ensure that the BPM cycle is supported by high-quality performance information and insights to enable timely course corrections. They also ensure a continued focus on continual improvements to processes, systems, and data. 
 
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To lead planning and forecasting of Average Working Capital and Cash Conversion across all entities in North America.  This is reinforced by a monthly rhythm of processes and analysis to deliver timely information and insight to enable the organization to make high-quality decisions around cash.
 
TOP ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develop/manage an efficient and effective cash planning process for the organization, ensuring all factors are considered in developing a robust.
Drive, manage and coordinate the standard monthly Cash BPM processes and analysis. Work with stakeholders across each business unit to deliver the planning and forecasting processes in line with standards and timelines.
Collaborate with business partners to understand and challenge the components of cash delivery. Quantify opportunities and risks and help develop contingency plans.
Use analytics to go beyond the numbers, including trend analysis, to assess the accuracy of the cash forecast.  Provide sensitivity analysis for changes in assumptions.
Manage cash forecasting tool and templates that provide clear reports/analysis to be used for decision making. 
Provide guidance to cash analyst in DBS to ensure the right level of support and analysis is being provided.
 
KEY INTERACTIONS:
 
In-market business units, FP&A, Treasury, Supply.  Act as a trusted business advisor in order to challenge and support the business to improve overall cash delivery.
Finance business partners – provide proactive support and collaboration on the delivery of end to end Finance operating model to the business units.
Group Finance teams / Enterprise operations - collaborate closely with teams to provide high quality, timely management information to the business.
Governance & Change – support local delivery of changes/improvements.  Strong relationships across Business Shared services to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all our core processes
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Degree educated  with relevant professional  qualification - not necessarily qualified accountant
5+ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
Working in an environment demonstrating commercial awareness
Collaborating with and influencing successfully with remote/virtual teams
