FTC- Operator 2

Job Purpose/Overview

This position serves as an Operator 2 for the Factory Transition Crew.  This associate will be responsible for running equipment in their designated area during product qualification and during the plant transition. This associate will also assist in the hands-on training and qualification of other associates. 


Key Responsibilities


Maintain a safe working environment in your area.
Wear all applicable PPE for your area at all times including but not limited to; Bump Cap, Eye Protection, Ear Plugs, Safety Shoes, and Gloves.
Complete BOS’s monthly.
Verify all safety equipment (ex. Eye wash stations) in your area are functional and in good condition minimum of daily.
Participate in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) activities when needed. Assist in monitoring LOTO activities in your area.


Ensure adherence to all GMP/HACCP/Q&FS requirements.
Assist in ensuring all damaged or puffy cans are disposed of kept segregated from saleable product.
Monitor can codes dates for legibility.
Continuous monitoring of product quality including removal and segregating or any non-quality product.
Escalate any Quality or Food Safety deviations identified to the Senior 1 Operator in your area.


Ensure your area is kept clean and free of debris.
Clean all equipment and machines in various areas.
Empty trash receptacles as needed.


Assist in equipment operation in your area to produce quality products in a safe, secure and sanitary manner within the product design specifications.
Monitor and document process run parameters and results (ex. Fill rate, temperatures, viscosity)


Communicate with other area operators regarding up and down stream performance.

Context and Scope

The FTC Operator 2 will work with the project management team running new equipment during the product qualification process.  This associate will also assist in training associates on the new equipment and processes.

Minimum Qualifications

1 year(s) of experience in a production environment.
1 year(s) experience as a trainer/instructor.
Flexible schedule; Weekends, Nights, or Days.
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing
