If you're comfortable with preparing and processing financial statements and accounts and managing all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions, you might be the Full Charge Bookkeeper Accountemps is looking for. This short-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in Memphis, Tennessee.


How you will make an impact


- Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll/payroll taxess


- Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections


- Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents


- Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows


- Studying and implementing federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions


- Supervising accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers


- Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules


- Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time

Requeriments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must


- Show the ability to adapt and learn new techniques and skill sets when required


- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping


- Proficiency with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree


- Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request


- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight


- Command of Accounts Receivable (AR)


- Adeptness in general ledger


- Deep understanding of payroll


- Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired


- Experience with Payroll Taxes


- Payroll Tax experience


- Demonstrated knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation


- Previous experience with payroll preferred


- Knowledgeable of accrual and cash basis of accounting


- High school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended


- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports
