What you’ll be doing...
The Global CIO dashboard (Digital Cockpit) at Verizon will provide visibility into business, customer and employee engagement as well as enablement metrics across the global IT organization to help move IT into an Investment and Innovation center. The position will lead the architecture and development of the dashboard across Verizon.
The incumbent will play the role of an Architect/ lead developer for the Digital Cockpit application that will track and showcase the metrics for the Global CIO organization. They will have hands-on experience in web-based, mobile-first and cloud-first architecture for BI, and analytics dashboards with real-time data and enable insights for CIO level dashboards. They will also have hands-on experience with enabling DevSecOps for application portfolios and have a full understanding of DevSecOps tools/platforms at Verizon.
Perform evaluations of various open-source platforms, products and be able to pick the right product to architect the best-in-class solutions for Verizon.
Liaise with various IT organizations including the metrics teams to gather and finalize the metrics, definitions, logic for traffic lighting the KPIs and work with the development teams to get those implemented.
The incumbent will have extensive hands-on experience leading teams of 8-10 developers with direct and indirect reporting relationships. They would have the ability to navigate the system and get buy-in from the stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Product evaluations and decisions around solutions architecture for BI and Dashboards will be with the incumbent.
The incumbent is expected to bring innovation and key ability to drive solutions using both tried-and-tested as well as new/innovative ideas to drive the framework forward.
They will have authority to decide on integration architecture patterns for real-time, API-based integrations with various other applications to bring frequency and veracity of data refreshes/updates.
The incumbent will have hands-on experience in web-based, mobile-first and cloud architecture for BI, and analytics dashboards with real-time data and enable insights for CIO level dashboards.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Experience in JAVA/J2EE technologies.
Experience in designing and developing Mobile App development for various Operating systems including iOS & Android.
Knowledge of UX processes, methods and artifact creation including Information Architecture, User Research Methods, UI & Interaction Design, Usability Testing, Prototyping & Visual design.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture/Web Services - SOAP/REST, Web Technologies like HTML, CSS. Markup Languages like XML and JSON.
Experience in DevOps, Agile Methodologies, CI/CD methods and tools, e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, is a huge plus.
