Schneider Electric is searching for a self-motivated individual to join its Functional Safety Team located in Webster, Texas.
Typical job duties include:
Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) liaison
Performing Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Verification
Developing Safety Requirement Specification documents
Developing Cause & Effect (C/E) Matrices and associated Safety Instrumented System (SIS) Logic narratives
Developing Functional Design Specifications
Interfacing with the SIS Delivery team on projects involving Functional Safety Assessments on Stages 1-3
Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
Ideally, 5+ years of experience in Functional Safety
Background in Instrumentation
Familiarity with Oil & Gas and Chemical Processes
Preferred TUV Safety Expert or CSFE Certification
Familiarity with the IEC61511 and ISA 84 Safety lifecycle
Knowledge of industry standards such as
IEC61511 ed2.0, ISA 84, API-556, NFPA 85, NFPA 86, NFPA 87
Ability to travel approximately 25%
