Legal Global Contract Services and Agency Derivative Services Negotiator

As the VP, Legal GCS Prime Services and ADS Negotiator, you will produce, negotiate and execute various capital markets contract documentation supporting the Prime Services and ADS businesses of Barclays with an assigned portfolio of Barclay’s counterparties.
What will you be doing?
•You will facilitate the prime services trading business by drafting, negotiating and executing capital markets contract documentation with an assigned portfolio of Barclays counterparties using Barclays templates (e.g. ISDA Master Agreement and Credit Support Agreements, Global Master Repurchase Agreement, Maser Securities Loan Agreement, Prime Brokerage Agreement, Futures Agreement, OTC Clearing Agreement, Intermediation Agreement and any ancillary agreements)
•Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and documentation risk controls and adhere to associated guidelines and procedures
•Identify processes that can be improved around data capture, technology, and documentation guidelines;
•Where necessary, partner with relevant internal stakeholders for ad hoc projects (both regulatory driven and otherwise) and successfully manage them to completion;
•Assist with the education and training of stakeholders and other control groups concerning legal issues;
•Conduct independent legal analysis and manage relationships with external counsel where necessary and within Barclays requirements on external legal spend
•Work closely with stakeholders of the firm including Directors in Sales, Trading, Risk, Compliance and Operations to establish client-trading relationships and to advise regarding risk controls and explain legal issues to them in a succinct and commercial manner in both written and oral form.
What we’re looking for:
•5+ years experience, working with the suite of prime services agreements
•5+ years of financial services experience
Skills that will help you in the role:
•Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
•Demonstrated experience in the suite of prime services agreements (including the prime brokerage agreement; futures agreement, OTC Clearing Agreement (FCM model); ISDA/CSA, repurchase agreements, stock lending agreement, netting agreements, and any supplementary agreements thereto) and an ability to pick up legal and commercial concepts quickly for other master agreements not previously handled
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral communications and tailoring communication to the audience being addressed and the situation (e.g. a high pressure environment)
