Job Summary:
The EY Geostrategic Business group (GBG) works across service lines, sectors and geographies, bringing together an internal and external network of professionals with geostrategic knowledge and experience.  The purpose of the function is helping to move EY beyond understanding geopolitical issues to translating them into implications for business and helping clients navigate change to build a better working world.
This role has been created to lead the group’s next phase of evolution, ensuring that the business is well-coordinated and productive. The primary responsibilities will be to oversee and provide the overall guidance to team operations including budget/resources; data and reporting; project/program management as well as implementing a strong governance framework with key internal stakeholders (including Office of the Chairman, Service Line Leaders, Account and Markets Leaders, Business Development, Knowledge, BMC, Independence and Risk Management teams); strengthening external alliances, etc.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Manage the team’s resourcing and budget allocation – undertaking due diligence and risk management as required, coordinating permanent and temporary team resourcing, identifying cost efficiencies and leveraging EY internal functions (as appropriate).
Manage all team reporting requirements, including but not limited to pipeline/opportunity tracking.
Liaise with the Global Lead and Partner Sponsors to support and implement the Geostrategic Business Group strategy - defining goals and implementation plans, making decisions for operational activities, creating/structuring programs to maximize impact and return of investments, implementing product innovations/solutions to advance the strategy.
Help support the development and engagement of a broader internal network/community of EY professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, academics and thought leaders.
Provide governance oversight of key stakeholders – designing and implementing the team’s operating model, overseeing contracts and vendor agreements, developing capability within EY to improve purpose performance in our markets, service lines and sectors.
Contribute to EY commercialization of geostrategic solutions and supporting how they are brought to market.
Oversee the team’s project plans and activation programs - delivering within agreed timelines and cost parameters, reporting on project progress, managing team milestones and reporting, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing improvement recommendations to the Global Leader – ensuring the business operates within the team’s mission statement.
Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

Acts as project leader for large, complex projects – working across geographies and cultures.
Identifies and manages key resources needed to execute GBG mission.
Recognized for their deep knowledge within and outside their business specialty.
Makes decisions around team operational and reporting activities.
“At the table” with management when key business issues are discussed.
Understands the firm’s go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, and how core business services support business lines
Understand how the geostrategic business group strategy enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.
Understands EY Vision 2020 and ensures key collaboration activities are aligned to them.
Supervision Responsibilities:
This position manages the day-to-day business operations of the Geostrategic Business Group team.  Possesses deep knowledge in project/program management and operations.  May accomplishes work through subordinate professionals (including GDS resources). Works independently as a project manager for large or medium scale projects. Work is reviewed only for results obtained.
