As the Global Lead of Cloud & Digital Marketplaces, you will help drive the growth and adoption of F5 software solutions through new digital catalog subscription and deployment channels. The ideal candidate possesses a background in building and/or running a digital marketplace business, including the mechanism necessary to drive demand generation, product placement strategy and conversion to paid subscriptions. You also have a strong ability to develop and grow business from the ground-up, including the legal contracts and product curation necessary to operate at scale. We are looking for business savvy candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit to establish F5 as a key solution for software procurement and distribution, while working across our current partner seller ecosystem. You should be self-motivated, customer-centric, and delivery-focused with a track record of exceeding revenue goals. This leader will drive the adoption of Marketplaces with “Buyers” by working with our product Marketing teams and collaborating with F5 Account teams to ensure products and solutions land at our customers. Primary responsibilities include driving the strategy for our overall public cloud marketplace business, and adapting to unique plans for each marketplace operated by AWS, Azure, GCP and AliCloud. You will align with the extended teams to build customer and field facing programs.


The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge of digital procurement process and have the depth to easily communicate our strategy to CxOs, VPs and Directors across F5 and cloud providers. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of complex global businesses and be capable of going deep with data and analytics to measure the business end-to-end.


Roles & Responsibilities:
- Driving outcomes for customers through the adoption of marketplaces for F5 Use Cases
- Liaison to for the F5 Field sales and F5 Channel partner teams, designing playbooks and operational guides for marketplace business
- Digital commerce background, dealing with complex system environments
- Comfortable managing the customer adoption cycle and will partner with various teams to develop, propose and close new business
- Engages in senior level meetings to discuss customer’s business issues and explores how the marketplace features and programs can help address and resolve these issues
- Establish ways to measure and track metrics related to adoption of F5 products, and to make improvements to the approach based on those measurements
- Prepare and give business reviews to the senior management team regarding progress and metrics for the area
- Educate and enable the sales teams and increase visibility of marketplace products across all relevant cloud providers
- Handle a high volume of engagements and the fast pace of the cloud computing market.
Qualifications
- 8 + years of business development or sales roles with quota, strategic analysis, or program/product management experience
- 5 + years selling products or services using eCommerce models and tools
- MBA or equivalent relevant business experience
- Experience creating complex deals and pricing models
- Experience with cloud computing related fields (IT, software, etc.)
- Solid negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen
- Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business
- Experience with, and detailed knowledge of the Channel ecosystems
- Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key
