Amgen is in search of a Senior Manager, to be part of our Global Workplace Solutions team. The Senior Manager will report directly to the Engineering Projects Director. The Senior Manager will work from Amgen’s Capability Center in Tampa, Florida.

Global Workspace Solutions (formerly Global Asset Planning) delivers innovative and effective space solutions that enable energized and engaging workplaces in support of Amgen’s strategy. The Senior Manager is responsible for planning, design and utilization of office and laboratory spaces globally in support of strategic master plans and real estate strategies. They will partner with GWS Master Planning and Real Estate Strategy to ensure design and scope is in alignment with strategic master plans. In addition, the Senior Manager will collaborate closely with site management, clients and facilities & engineering teams to ensure the successful construction and implementation of new office and laboratory spaces.

Primary responsibilities include:

In-depth knowledge of laboratory and office space planning including design, construction, renovation and operations
Leverages subject-matter expertise to contribute to development of new concepts In-depth understanding of company goals and competitor practices
Develops innovative / creative output based on interpretation and analysis
Integrates trends, data and information into plans, deliverables and recommendations
Work guided by functions’ business plans
Manages key projects or business processes
Provides thought leadership and guidance for workspace planning efforts
Uses strong relationships to identify requirements and potential opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management experience
OR
Master’s degree and 6 years of Project Management experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Project Management experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Project Management experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience
AND
2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
