Operation Rigor Control AVP Lead
Whippany, NJ
 
The US Consumer Bank Operations Team (US CBO) supports the execution of acquisition and existing customer marketing programs including new acquisition campaigns. It also provides judgmental credit decisions and Know Your Customer governance, as well as support Credit Bureau corrections and payment settlement services. Your role is within the Governance and Control Group for US CBO setting appropriate and effective controls in the functions performed. This group manages the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), working with teams to understand their control environment, complete the necessary assessments, assist with mitigate and/or eliminate the risk, and ensure business partners understand how their decisions affect the control environment. You will be acting as liaison for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lines of defense
 
What will you be doing?
•As AVP Lead, you will support operational risk and control strategy and provide oversight of control functions and initiatives aligned to multiple supported business areas/functions in addition to serving in a leadership role.
•Oversee RCSA management and implementation, ensuring that risks are identified, controls are put into place, and testing is performed (both design effectiveness and operation effectiveness).
•Report and oversee the closure and remediation of incidents, issues, and control gaps
•Oversees and liaises with Barclays Internal Audit (BIA), Monitoring and Testing (M&T), Chief Control Office (CCO) testing, and other external groups testing processes
•Accountable for ensuring control and governance initiatives are completed within established time frames and conform to Group Policies and Standards, operations objectives, user requirements and client’s needs.
 
What we’re looking for:
•5+ or more years working in banking or other regulated industry environment
•5+ years of demonstrated management experience in a control or control-type environment
•College Degree
 
Skills that will help you in the role:
•Operational Risk, Conduct Risk, Compliance, Audit, and or Control Background
•Strategic planning background. Business and Problem Analysis & Resolution
•Call Centre experience with familiarity of call center processes, metrics, analysis, etc.
•Computer Fluency-Access, Excel, MS Project, Visio, Power Point
•Ability to build and sustain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and Sr. Management
•Leadership skills
