HCA Nurse ResidencyProgram (Trauma Step-down Unit) StaRN Program (14 weeks total): Our StaRN Program will provide you with the toolsnecessary to succeed in today s hospital environment.
It will help youtransition out of the classroom setting and onto the unit by providing thefollowing training: 6 weeks classroom, self-study,skills & simulations8 weeks preceptorship Certification achieved: ECG, TeamSTEPPS, BLS/ACLS, CPI certificationsAfter StaRN you willtransition to our Professional Development Program:9 month program factored intoyour full time position in the Emergency DepartmentObtain Charge Nurse andPreceptor skillsPartnered with a mentor tocomplete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month)AdditionalInformation about Our Trauma Step-down Unit:You will work with our team on an 11-bed trauma step-downunitWeare a Level II Trauma Centerand Certified Stroke and Heart CenterOur nurse to patient ratio 3-4:1 and our patientturnover is 3-4 daysWe treat patients experiencing various trauma injuries,including falls, spinal cord, STEMIs, and head injuries We offer you a self-scheduling system (8 week schedule)You are a part of shared governance councils where youcan gain leadership opportunitiesOur leadership team and staff offer a supportiveenvironment focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialtycertifications available through AACN, paid for by HCAQualifications WHAT BENEFITS DO WE OFFER?TuitionReimbursement Medical Insurance Dental InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsDisability InsuranceLife InsurancePaid Time OffWHAT BENEFITS DO WE OFFER?
