Position Overview:
• Responsible for ensuring CCNA (Coca-Cola North America) has a sustainable competitive advantage in the deployment of our trade investment funds to best support our brand strategies
• Lead the Trade Promotion Optimization, Strategy & Capabilities COE – from the capture & creation of the data sets required to the development of leading-edge insights to inform both long term retail pricing strategy and the short-term optimization of customer promotional plans
• Lead the development of optimization capability throughout the organization – but particularly with CCNA & bottler revenue growth organizations and national & bottler sales teams. This includes development of the tools & process required to enable users to “self-serve” and build annual promotional plans
• Lead the development of the COE team to ensure a highly engaged, motivated team, and a sustainable talent pipeline.
• Build cross functional relationships required to create additional value from the insights generated by the COE for example through embedding into commercial and brand plans
Function Specific Activities:
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities

- Lead a highly engaged and motivated team of 10 focused on the delivery of trade optimization insights through the creation of data assets, analytics and tools. Ensure the team are developed to enable the import and export of talent across the business and the continual improvement of the trade optimization capability within CCNA
- Build a culture of creative problem solving – combining technology platforms, analytics and business knowledge to create incremental value for stakeholders
- Be an active advocate for data & analytics-based decision making throughout the organization. Provide thought leadership for CCNA in trade optimization strategy and capability with core stakeholders (Commercial, Brand and Sales teams) to ensure optimization insights are embedded into marketplace strategies and tactics
- Drive change in thinking and practices of key stakeholders to ensure rapid & broad creation, adoption and deployment of new insights to capture incremental value for our customers
- Lead the development of insights to support optimizing annual plans, develop new retail strategies to support brand strategy and the creation of new capabilities to further enhance the Trade promotion capability and strategy (new datasets, new analytics, new tools)
- Create and maintain a multi-year roadmap for the continual enhancement of the CCNA TPO capability
- Influence all stakeholders (particularly the national sales teams) to ensure a high degree of accuracy and completeness in the data inputs to enable the delivery of quality insights
- Own the development and deployment of the analytical methodologies and ROI metrics to ensure effective stewardship and assessment of trade spend investment effectiveness
- Leads the creation of annual optimization guidelines for the creation of customer retail price plans and the tools, process & training required to increase ease & speed of adoption
- Build the strong cross functional relationships to ensure maximum value create by the TPO team – relationships include those with the commercial, brand RGM, data science and consumer/shopper insights teams

Education Requirements: 

- Minimum Required:  Bachelor’s degree  (engineering, finance, business)
- Preferred Level: Master degree in business or associated field

Related Work Experience: 

- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in sales, RGM (Revenue Growth Management) or analytics with expertise in customer planning and/or promotional optimization, focused on delivery of world-class results in a complex, distributed environment.
