Home Electronics Relief Assistant Manager (select stores only)

Position Summary:

Assist with the management of the department and maximize all financial opportunities. Assume the management responsibilities in the absence of the Home Electronics Manager and Home Electronics Assistant Manager. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:

Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
Maintain compliance with corporate policies/divisional standards including merchandising, signing, conditioning, stockroom, fixtures usage and maintenance, labor agreements, quality ordering functions, shrink control, shipping/receiving, salvage, freight receiving/stocking procedures
Coordinate/organize merchandising of the department floor; implementation of weekly Merchandise Specialists Notes, Off-Shelf Merchandising Notes, and Period Planners to complete merchandising assignments
Adhere to stockroom, product maintenance, and Music Market standards, including stock rotation
Audit in-store Price Change Recap
Audit missing markdown, markdown exception, scan audits, vendor logs, written distribution center returns/weekly recaps, and Returns to Suppliers
Promote and follow Company initiatives
Perform cashier functions; sell products; provide check approval/overrides
Maintain awareness of overstock/understock conditions
Monitor/adjust the 15-minute chart and schedule
Respond to verbal customer comments/complaints
Verify daily/weekly time and attendance functions are completed
Complete customer/associate accident report forms
Verify accuracy on price changes and standards for returns to vendors; process salvage
Process photos using P58 One Hour Ordering
Use MAGIC to check on-hands to maintain proper amount of merchandise being processed when a call-back or deletion is issued
Use Retail Management System to request additional product
All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect "Our People Are Great"
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one -two years related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum 18 years of age/19 years in Idaho
Ability to pass drug test
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work weekends and evening/graveyard shifts on a regular basis
Maintain confidentiality
Accuracy/attention to detail
Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
CPR/first aid certification
Desired Previous Job Experience:

Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
Home electronics/music retail experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Report Management and Distribution System (RMDS), and current Company email
Experience directing/participating on project teams
