As a member of our
regional power and utilities indirect (state and local) tax team you will work
on a variety of tax types including: income/franchise tax, sales and use tax,
property tax, real estate transfer/controlling interest transfer taxes, gross
receipts taxes, and industry specific utility taxes.

current market trends, complex technical analysis and state tax research, and
management of client relationships in Minnesota and the rest of the central

analytical skills to research evolving portfolio of complex tax operations
across all indirect tax types.
to articulate conclusions in writing or orally, e.g., drafting clear and
intelligent workplans, memoranda, and more informal client communications.
to navigate complex workpapers and spreadsheets.
bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or
a bachelor’s degree in any field with a graduate degree (Masters, JD, or LLM)
with a focus in tax.
exposure to state and local taxation.
in the power and utilities industry is *not* required but may be valuable.
with technical writing and research in a tax context.
ability to prioritize when working on multiple complex projects.
also need the ability to obtain CPA certification or become a member of a state
