The Verizon Connect Learning & Development team creates learning experiences to enable our product, sales, and customer service team members to deliver their best work. Your past success demonstrates that you are staying up with current L&D trends. You use agile development techniques to respond to the needs of the business with quality training. You quickly build rapport with stakeholders and roll up your sleeves to learn the business you’re supporting.


Engage with various internal and external stakeholders to fully discover the training need, relevance and importance of training impact. Actively participate in user acceptance of courseware when complete
Engage with customers to define training needs and training gaps. Conduct the detailed analysis of audience, task, and needs assessment of requested training
Develop training material using a range of development modalities, including mobile content, eLearning, video, classroom, live virtual deliveries, self-paced, reinforcement activities, and job aids/performance support
Actively participate in internal processes and collaborate with teams to ensure adequate translation of subject matter to learning material
Evaluate training programs and training effectiveness; track and improve efficacy
Design and develop highly-effective training content, with a focus on eLearning and blended learning, as well as user guides and Knowledge base content
Apply creativity to design new and redesign historic training modules and programs
Design, develop, and maintain all necessary training elements (e.g. strategic roadmap, tactical plans, leader guides, student courseware, training documentation, examinations) for all courses
Ensure that all training material follows design and development standards, adult learning principles, and regulatory requirements
Develop knowledge and behavioral assessments in order to assure the adoption of training
Proactively identify and assess current and future learning needs within the business.
Translate business KPI’s into learning objectives
Plan, organize, and implement a range of training activities that create effective, experiential learning experiences (e.g. monitored simulations, gamification, role plays, self-directed activities, and problem-solving scenarios)
Create interactive, multimedia presentations
Incorporate feedback from SME and Manager Reviews into development of learning assets
Review material content; create logical learning units/objects as appropriate
Develop instructional content to reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners or groups of learners
Responsible for new course setup in Learning Management System, courseware loading into our document management system, examinations into testing engine (including updates, new creations, or deletions), and access to all materials as appropriate
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in education and training design and development, with a strong emphasis in e-Learning
Proven ability to apply adult learning principles, theories, concepts and development technologies to make training stick
