Responsibilities
The Inventory & Planning Analyst for the Shop & Tour will analytically and strategically support all planning efforts with particular focus on management and execution of optimal inventory levels and inventory management. Responsibilities include shipment analysis and order processing, business reporting and sales analysis, budget planning, invoice management and Inventory in the Shop and WH. The goal of the role is to ensure optimal levels of inventory, while continuing to maintain the business and suggesting opportunities for improvement that is backed by analysis.
This role will be a highly collaborative; working across functional teams including (but not limited to) Retail Shop, marketing, operations, finance and merchandising.

Manage planning responsibility for Shop and Tour at NBC Studios.

Lead creation of the financial strategy including sales, margin, inventory and KPI’s.

Forecast sales, KPI’s.

Reporting:

Daily metrics reporting

Lead weekly and monthly compilation of data analyses via graphs, charts, tables for Shop and Tour.

Inventory Management

Serve as point of contact and liaison between Shop at NBC Studios and WH Team

Manage WH relationship – Run weekly calls with WH

Schedule and attend visits to WH

Own and manage all aspects of Physical Inventory in the Shop and WH

Manages reconciliation of Inventory.

Responsible for the management of inventory recommending best receipt timing. 

Present strategies to optimize sales and inventory.

Manage replenishment parameters and support replenishment optimization

Review inventory discrepancies and action.

Plan, manage, communicate and execute Returns of Goods to vendors

Manage liquidation process

Manage MOS, Damages, & Markdown process. 

Responsible for improving processes and measuring demand.

Manage Month End, Quarter close, and Year End Reporting.

Responsible for Royalty Reporting and Payments.

Own maintenance, updating and monitoring Inventory by Style Report on a weekly basis, to identify for Merchants: items to Reorder, Markdown, or liquidate weekly.

Analyze specific areas of the business and share learnings with team during Weekly Shop Walk Thru and Weekly Sales Meeting.

Such as:

Performance analyses of all mugs across properties.

Analyses of tee-shirt sales where a price increase or decrease has been implemented.

Fulfillment and processing in POS System.

Establish regular review of KPIs – Sales, Margin, Turnover, Sell-Thru, and Inventory – and react to changes in demand and logistics.

Understand and support the successful operations of the KWI reporting system.

Pivot tops-down and bottoms-up appropriately to achieve high accuracy and efficiency. 

Partner with KWI to develop key reports and dashboards for better data flow across functions.

Own improving reporting functionality and efficiencies as it relates to current reporting, KWI reports, developing new reporting tools.

Own AP/Invoicing process.

Own chargebacks to Vendors

Maintain and improve Vendor Manual/guidelines

Participate in weekly Inventory, Staff, and Merchandising Team meetings.

Prepare reports for and attend Monday Morning Walk-thru in Shop, in partnership with Store Manager & Merchants.


Qualifications/Requirements
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel
Analytical with an ability to balance financial targets with qualitative business goals.
Ability to adapt to highly entrepreneurial, fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.
A proven track record of continuous improvement in business practices.
Exceptional communication skills and time management.
