Description

There is a job opening at Robert Half Technology for an IT Field Technician with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical users in an understandable and concise manner while solving complex technical issues. Your responsibilities


- Troubleshoot computers and multi-function devices with networking


- Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site


- Diagnose, restore, rebuild, and refurbish computer hardware, such as PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and additional IT equipment


- Help test functionality and support end users


- Own and complete technology implementation projects


- Coordinate with the appropriate vendors to arrange repairs


- Complete transferal of data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix


- Install printers, troubleshoot and handle repairs


- Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records


- Ensure that ticket submitters receive frequent and effective communication


- Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities


- Disassemble, box and ship equipment that is out of date


- Manage imaging and preparation for new computers


- Track equipment inventory and collaborate on potential purchases

Requeriments
*Candidates must have a clean driving record*


- Ability to troubleshoot computers and multi-function devices with networking


- Experience with printers - networking, configuration and set up, scan to folder and email


- 2+ years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN


- Strong problem-solving skills


- Ability to multitask effectively


- Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments


- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills


- Network Troubleshooting experience desired


- Hardware Troubleshooting experience required
