Position Summary

Communications Specialist/Technical Writer with experience writing IT communications for the end user and an understanding of organization change management needed as a result of IT projects. Experience writing technical documentation. Familiar with Knowledge Management standards and best practices.


Responsibilities

-Attend project meetings for IT owned and driven projects requiring communications

-Perform stakeholder analysis with project teams

-Review and provide input to project communication plans

-Review, edit and, as required, author communications targeted for specific audiences and channels (emails, FAQs, surveys, posters, etc.).

-Understands IT projects from the user point of view in terms of communications and organization change management

-Can articulate project purpose, benefits, and end user impacts at the appropriate level of detail for the audience and channel.

-Can adapt writing style to company culture and tone

-Follow IT Communications process and IT and company branding guidelines.

-Develop and document an end-to-end Knowledge Management process and best practices for intake, management, distribution and use of IT information.

-Reinforce KM process to IT project teams on an ongoing basis.

-Intake documents authored by project teams and (1) evaluate for consistency in content, messaging, and branding from both a specific project as well as a holistic point of view, (2) oversee process to ensure documents are named, numbered and stored appropriately, and (3) ensure information is communicated effectively for the audience.

-Document IT policy, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Knowledge Articles for ServiceNow and the company Intranet.

-Collaborate with Quality and align with Quality KM framework for controlled documents. Align KM activities with other functions in the organization (Intranet, Quality Systems, Service Management tool).

Requeriments
Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

-2-5 years working in an IT environment with project teams and writing end user communications.

-Understanding of Knowledge Management standards

-Collaborative with strong interpersonal, written and oral communications skills.

-Process and detail oriented

-Collaborative, team player

-Drives projects to completion on time; takes initiative and can work independently

-Strong time management skills. Can work on multiple projects at a time.

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

-Experience in Life Sciences preferred

-Knowledge of GxP preferred
