What You'll Do:
You will install and maintain systems used to execute continuous integration & delivery workflows
You will develop code for platform to enable automated on-boarding of DevOps users to our services and build orchestration using Cisco cloud infrastructure.
You will craft innovative solutions in the Cisco cloud to offer uninterrupted build services to help customers develop products 24/7. Jenkins, Artifactory, SeleniumBox and SonarQube are build tools being supported today with Atlassian and GIT based systems providing SCM services.
You will build out “Account Management” the role and access management platform for managing multiple DevOps services and the analytics application based on ELKStack.
Do you offer Customer Support experience? Are you well versed in dealing with customers answering questions and providing answers?
Who You’ll Work With
A small team of motivated engineers who embrace new technologies both vendor / open source toolsets and frameworks. The team is fun loving, complementing each other at all times and operate in a truly agile fashion with daily scrums, sprint/release planning all with "customers come first" attitude. Their responsibilities involves offering services and platform development to stitch services such as build, artifact, code quality and source code together that enable customers to have the best services, support and experience possible.
Who You Are
You offer a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
You have strong organizational skills for structuring computer programs and data.
offer strong written English skills; specifically for creating technical documentation and communications targeted to consumers of software services
You offer basic experience authoring detailed software requirements from broad business objections
Basic operational experience; some direct exposure managing a user-facing service/application
Self-motivated to learn new technology and design solutions to address Cisco's business problems
Must be open to some travel to meet customers and attend technical trainings/conferences
Technical Skills
5 - 8 years of software development and/or DevOps experience
Experience with at least one strongly-typed compiled language (preferably Java)
Experience with at least one scripting language (preferably Python)
Experience with at least one dependency management tool such as Maven, NPM, PyPi
Experience with Git using various workflows (forking, gitflow, etc.)
Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, Travis CI, Gitlab, etc)
Experience with container orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Openshift, Rancher, etc)
Fluency in Unix/Linux operating systems and Bash
Experience with at least one cloud infrastructure service (AWS, Azure, GCE, Openstack, etc)
Experience with at least one configuration management tool (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc)
Basic understanding of computer networking
Can identify basic scalability pitfalls and debug customer-reported issues
