Java Software Developer - Oracle Application Labs (Java, web / micro-services, system analysis and design)-190008LR   
Preferred Qualifications
 Oracle Application Labs, OAL, "implements,
maintains, upgrades and extends" the applications that Oracle uses to
meet its rapidly changing business requirements and provides a showcase
for Oracle's products. OAL influences the direction and strategy for
Oracle's products through collaborative and often pioneering involvement
in business applications and the company's internal use of their own
enterprise application systems.

The Incentive Compensation New
Initiatives within OAL is responsible for the design, development and
implementation of solutions for a wide range of teams including
Incentive Compensation, General Ledger Budgeting and Planning, Sales
Force planning, and more.  These applications and solutions are critical
to Oracle as they are used to drive the sales planning and compensation
processes for Oracle’s global sales force as well as other financial
focused processes.

Essential Functions:
•    Enthusiasm and passion for building next-gen enterprise applications
•    Strong problem solving and analytical skills
•    In-depth knowledge, experience, and skills in Java, Springboot, JPA, ADF, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, PL/SQL, and Eclipse
•    Ability to research new frameworks, technologies and write up recommendations for adoption
•   
Implement high performing complex cross functional solutions with
excellent quality in both the deliverables and in the delivery process
•    Ability to work in a fast paced virtual environment that demands co-ordination across time-zones
•   
Work with business teams to understand their requirements and translate
them into efficient and effective technical solutions.

Desired Industry Experience:
•   
Overall experience of 2 to 7 years in enterprise application
development (preferably Oracle) using Java focused tools and web
development methodologies
•    Experience with REST web services, cloud and database development, and front end frameworks
•   
Experience and proven effectiveness with project management,
communications with business and technical audiences, and use of
collaboration tools
•    Experience in SAFe Agile teams, design, development and collaboration approach
•   
Ability to take ownership and work both independently with minimal
supervision and as part of a team within a structured development
organization
•    Experience with Software Development Life Cycle
activities - feasibility review, requirements gathering, design,
development, implementation, and maintenance

Education and Certification:
The
ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree, preferably a graduate
degree, in computer science, computer or electrical engineering, or
related field.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
 Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

As a member of the IT organization, assist with the design, development, modifications, debugging, and evaluation of programs for use in internal systems within a specific function area.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. BS or equivalent experience in programming on enterprise or department servers or systems.
