Job Description The Claims Manager plays a leadership role position is responsible for investigating, reviewing, processing and closing/settling claims, Roles and Responsibilities
· Initiate claims based on communications from transferee, customer service, account or third party insurance company
· Direct the claims processing flow plan; advise and supervise a team of 2 or more Claims staff
· Manage the allocation of work between adjusters to ensure the timely completion of all claims
· Maintain documentation and updates in New World's internal software
· Manage communications and documentations with claimant; provide timely updates to the claimant
· Work closely with third party repair vendors
· Escalate high-dollar claims to VP of Customer Experience; advise of any delays in processing/closing that may cause claim to fall out of compliance with claims timeline; advise of any assistance required in order to close claims within process guidelines
· Manage and prepare claims data and reports for evaluation of company's claim performance to VP of Customer Experience and senior leadership
· Other tasks and projects as assigned by VP of Customer Experience Minimum Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Proficient in MS Office Suite
· Proven leadership capabilities; prior experience supervising claims team preferred
· 3 year moving & storage or 6 years insurance adjuster
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Superb reasoning and negotiation skills
· Math Aptitude
