Junior Business Analyst-ESS00007
Enterprise Services & Systems (ESS) is seeking a Business Analysis Associate to be responsible for business analysis and project management for financial and actuarial systems interfaces and extracts. The Financial Application Support -  Business Integration team develops strategies and implements solutions to link Prudential’s business systems to the Corporate financial and actuarial systems. In addition to developing a functional financial systems expertise, you will participate in projects that develop your understanding of Prudential’s key international and domestic businesses.

We are seeking an analyst with strong written and oral communication skills, well-developed analytic reasoning and curiosity, and an established track record working in a team-based environment. You should have experience with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and Visual Basic.

You will be responsible for supporting business analysis and project management activities as a member of project teams. You will learn the methodologies and tools required to assess and document business requirements, write functional specifications for systems development, and design and conduct testing of the technical solutions.

A key project you will support involves actuarial systems processes and run automation for Prudential’s Annuities business. Experience with process and actuarial system automation a plus.

In addition to participation in key strategic initiatives, you will participate in smaller business integration projects that will provide opportunities to take more responsibility for leading analytic and project management tasks.

• Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance preferred but not required – other analytics-oriented majors are acceptable
• 1-3 years experience in similar analyst role
• Excellent analytical skills, critical thinking and project skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with ambiguity, solve problems, and communicate root causes
• Understands priorities, recognizes deadlines, and accepts/responds to changes within their own area of responsibility
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft desktop Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
• Proficiency in SQL/VBA programming
• Experience with Insurance Industry and/or Actuarial systems and processes is a plus
