The Elixir® Strings team, the number one market share acoustic string is looking for an experienced and self-motivated Key Account Manager in North America to join our team.
If you are searching for a company where you can make a difference, we’re looking for you. In this role, you will develop and manage national accounts (online and physical). You will interact with marketing team and sales leadership to develop account specific marketing plans and strategies. You will be responsible for all account programming at assigned customers. Success will be measured by metrics such as sales increases, performance versus forecasts, program profitability, brand visibility and integration with core business team.
Designing and presenting account-specific plans with team support that are inclusive of training, objectives, programs, etc., and following through until complete.
Identifying actionable trends within sales data
Analyzing established territory metrics to gauge progress versus stated objectives
Acquiring in-depth market knowledge and utilizing knowledge to present to key decision makers
Consistently interacting with internal marketing and product teams to ensure alignment of objectives, strategies, tactics, and resources
Establishing and maintaining beneficial relationships with key decision makers within customer organizations
Becoming a credible, value-adding category resource for key retail management
Required Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably business or marketing or equivalent experience
3 or more years of national key account management experience (chain and e-commerce) with a branded consumer product
Clear understanding of retail operations including trade economics and two-step product distribution
Proven experience selling high-value consumer products through various retail channels (brick & mortar and online)
Account-specific marketing and promotion development experience
Relationship development and relationship management experience
Excellent communication skills
Effective negotiation skills
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects
Proficiency with Windows-based PC and a solid working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications
Data-driven decision making approach with advanced data skills utilizing Microsoft Excel at a very high level
Maintain travel schedule of 25-50%
Perform public speaking, with skills in presenting to large groups
