Position Summary:

Contribute to the strategic direction and merchandising strategy to build a best-in-class distribution program for Open Loop and General Purpose Reloadable Product (GPR). Manage and supervise the sales and distribution program, marketing calendars, promotional calendars, as well as sales and key performance measures. Essential Job Functions:

- Manage and execute the placement, sales and merchandising strategies for assigned categories
- Develop strategies and budgets to foster growth, maintain best in class standards and deliver established sales/profit requirements; manage, generate and review sales reports
- Collaborate with external partners to strategically drive external channel volumes and ensure correct product inventory levels are available
- Coordinate with various internal teams to ensure promotional events are set up and function as designed
- Drive awareness and volume of assigned categories through divisional resources
- Utilize controls and reporting tools to ensure regulatory compliance
- Establish and maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and developing changes
- Produce communication tools and marketing vehicles that drive category initiatives, in collaboration with marketing
- Partner with 84.51, Kroger Loyalty, and KPF resources to define highly relevant targeted marketing programs and best position the product based on data
- Explore, identify and develop new products and business opportunities
- Ensure products and programs are consistent with KPF’s vision, mission, beliefs and brand pyramid
- Achieve stated objectives relative to both Open Loop product and GPR product
- Travel for division visits, state representative visits and events with BHN Open Loop team
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Minimum Position/Education Qualifications:

- 2+ years of merchandising or retail operations experience
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Ability to influence internally and externally at all levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of basic business, accounting and math principles
- Demonstrated ability to be collaborative and manage several projects simultaneously
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Desired Previous Job Experience/Qualifications:

- Business-related Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years store management experience
- 2+ years Kroger division or corporate category management, merchandising or gift services experience
- 2+ years procurement experience
