Loss Prevention Manager

Position Summary:

Manage the Loss Prevention department. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.
Frequent independent judgments are essential. Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.
Essential Job Functions:

Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
Maximize sales and margins
Reduce customer and associate dishonesty by initiating action to identify high theft areas and by investigation and apprehension of both internal and external theft
Monitor large shrink areas in stores
Provide credible court testimony
Implement corporate and divisional service, merchandising, and operating requirements
Maintain knowledge of corporate and divisional merchandising plans, expectations, and timetables
Achieve department and store financial objectives/goals
Develop, implement, and assess weekly work schedule, adjusting as necessary
Conduct internal investigations
Minimize exposure to civil liability
Verify electronic article surveillance (EAS) is utilized and maintained
Participate in safety meetings
Co-chair/attend shrink meetings
Prepare missing merchandise report
Promote associate participation in the Fred Meyer Incentive Award Program
Maintain compliance with corporate policies
Promote and follow Company initiatives
Maintain compliance with all safety guidelines and standards
Communicate with corporate personnel
All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect "Our People Are Great"
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus one year experience in retail loss prevention; or combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum 18 years of age/21 in Alaska
Ability to pass drug test
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work weekends on a regular basis and work any shift
Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
Maintain confidentiality
Accuracy/attention to detail
Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
Familiarity with loss prevention terms and processes
Ability to continue education
Ability to pass criminal background check
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass all state and federal private security requirements for licensing or certification
Desired Previous Job Experience:

Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
Interrogation/interviewing skills
