Description: Job Title: Low Observable RF Electrical EngineerJob Code: SAS20200301-38483Job Location:Amityville, NYJob Description: This position specializes in low-observable (LO) antenna and RF design engineering.Essential Functions:Be responsible for the RF and RCS design, prediction, and measurement of antennas and associated RF components (frequency-selective surfaces (FSS), radomes, matching networks, feed networks, etc.)Utilize a hands-on approach while leading a multi-disciplinary team for new LO antenna development including requirement evaluation, initial concept development, technical proposal writing, cost/schedule estimating, detailed design, design reviews, prototype build and test, design documentation, qualification, and low rate initial productionMulti-task while applying extensive antenna and RCS design expertise to several new business and development programs at a timeWork with minimal direction to develop innovative technical solutions to complex problemsServe as the primary technical contact for customers on contracts and proposal efforts. This includes interacting with senior customer personnel on detailed technical matters that require cross functional coordination.Mentor and guide more junior engineers during the design, build and test phases of projectsUtilize design to cost and design for manufacturing, assembly and test principles as an integral part the product development processInteract with senior management to recommend technology roadmaps, capital investment, and internal research and development projects to grow LO antenna market share.Qualifications6+ years relavant experience with Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering OR Masters with 4+ years of related experience6+ years experience in core antenna theory, RCS and FSS design theory, and related RF design principles6+ years experience with the design and test of LO antennas including extensive experience with FSS radome design, integration, fabrication, and testing.6+ years analytical design experience using software and simulation tools such as Agilent ADS, CST, HFSS, and SENTRI.6+ years experience with RCS measurements desired including measurement analysis and troubleshooting.Active Secret ClearancePlease be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
