Eaton’s Power DeliveryDivision is currently seeking a Laser Operator 2nd shift to join ourteam. This roleis based out of our Waukesha (Badger Drive), WI location.


The Laser MachineOperator is responsible for converting sheet metal into parts needed to buildtransformer and regulator tanks. They are responsible for moving necessarymaterials to the laser and routine maintenance of the machine. Laser MachineOperators must be willing to do various jobs as directed and assist all otherteam members as needed to build product through the continuous flow line.


Ourindustrial laser work centers feature machines from Mazak and Bystronic. Wehave both Fiber and CO2 lasers up to 6kW in strength, capable of cuttingmaterials more than one inch thick.

- You will load appropriate materials onto laser table and perform laser cutting operations effectively and efficiently per specifications, work instructions, schedules and drawings.
- You will complete tasks for laser operation while applying standard practices; perform set-up and operation on laser; use steel gauge to validate thickness of appropriate materials loaded for specific job orders; load correct materials and unload all parts; use precision instruments to check tolerances and visually check quality of parts.
- You will read and interpret measuring devices such as a tape measure.
- You will troubleshoot minor program errors independently and work under little supervision.
- You will operate both a forklift and a crane.
- You will read blueprints along with understanding verbal and written instructions, schedules, documents and specifications.
- You will be required to list 40 lbs; must be able to bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials and perform all other essential duties as required.

QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:

- A high school diploma or GED form an accredited institution is required.
- Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship
- Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered

PreferredQualifications:


- 3-5 years’ experience with lasers in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

Position Success Criteria:


- Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses w/side shields, ear plugs or other hearing protection, steel-toed boots w/meta-tarsals, gloves, and any other PPE and follow safe manufacturing and material handling practices as required.
